security engineers are focusing to much on a cloud technology with no concept to probable proven consequences (hacking is rife) it is important to advance technology but still remain within each organizations concept to risk management (if hacking is seen as an acceptable risk then proceed) otherwise you as the designers fall liable to offering fallible systems.
Thanks for the post. It’s a valid comment – convergence is pushing us all towards blending IP technologies into the security hardware infrastructure. The IT industry has many years of largely successful experience locking down networks and all the associated network resources, and it is of course critical that these methodologies and practices are part of the design process when building an IP enabled physical security infrastructure.
